Dewitt Black received his Juris Doctor degree in 1973 from Memphis State University School of Law and his Master of Laws degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 1979. He has been practicing law for 33 years and is licensed to practice in his native state of Arkansas, in addition to the District of Columbia and South Carolina. Dee joined Home School Legal Defense Association in 1990 as Senior Counsel. For the past 17 years, he has been responsible for legal matters involving the association’s members in 13 states. Dee and his wife of 28 years, Ricci, have four children, all of whom have been home schooled.
