Each convention listed on the Master Convention Charter will also include a travel page that will include links to Visitor's Information for that particular city, as well as pictures and descriptions for a few "not-to-miss" attractions in the area.

Listed below is a sample of one of our travel pages for the Las Vegas Homeschool convention.

Las Vegas Area Attractions Listed Below

Hoover Dam, located 30 miles southeast of Las Vegas, is a wildly popular destination for Las Vegas locals and visitors. The dam is one of the most impressive engineering feats in the world.
Hoover Dam is 727 feet high, 1,244 feet long, 660 feet thick at the base, and 45 feet thick at the crest. It weighs 6.6 million tons and contains 3.2 million cubic yards of concrete. Two spillways, one on each side of the canyon, protect the dam and powerhouse from overflow and are each large enough to float the greatest battleship.

Easily the most ambitious water feature ever conceived, Bellagio's world-famous fountains command the attention of the Strip as they spring to life and dance to the strains of some of the world's best music. More than forty different shows have been choreographed for the synchronized fountains. These include routines to Broadway favorites, Sinatra standards, patriotic melodies, and opera classics.
Don't miss the dancing fountains at Bellagio, one of the most spectacular and memorable sights in Las Vegas! It's free, and supremely unforgettable!

Red Rock Canyon is a scenic diversion from the glitter of Las Vegas. Located 17 miles west of the Strip, it receives nearly 1.2 million visitors every year.  As the sun moves across the sky, the light changes, and so do the colors of Red Rock Canyon. Each turn delivers a new adventure. Check out petrified sand dunes, waterfalls, and red-tailed hawks circling above. This 197,000 acre area provides a beautiful 13-mile scenic drive.

Every night, a volcanic inferno spews fireballs 100 feet in the air. Located at the heart of the Strip, the Mirage's lagoon is permanent home to an eruption more dependable than Old Faithful. A technical marvel, this recreation of nature's fury starts blowing its stack at 7:00 PM and continues to do so every 15 minutes until midnight. Each "performance" tends to draw a crowd, so arriving at the end of the previous eruption is recommended if you want a place at the railing.
