Q.  OK.  I'm not sure I understand.  What is the main purpose of HSVA, anyway?  
A.  HSVA's main purpose is to provide homeschool speakers and vendors with a "one-stop shopping" area where they can find information about hundreds of conventions across the US and Canada.  Additionally, they will be able to find marketing tips and travel information, post their presentation descriptions and bios, and more.

Q.  That sounds good, but couldn't I just obtain all of that information on my own?
A.  Absolutely, but it would take a huge amount of your time to get the type of information in the HSVA database!  Then, you would need to start over immediately and begin updating changes.  Your time is much better spent doing what you do best, developing products and working on ways to improve marketing them!

Q.  How do I quickly find all of the information I need on the HSVA website? 
A.  The HSVA Convention Chart is powered by a powerful, state-of-the-art database system that will allow you to instantly sort all of the listed conventions in order by convention date, or by state, or by projected attendance.  Maybe you only want to attend conventions in a certain area, or maybe you have a particular weekend open, or maybe you're looking for the really BIG conventions.  You can quickly and easily find the information you need from the HSVA database.

Q.  Once I see a convention that interests me, how do I find out more about it?
A.  You simply click on the name of the convention, and you are taken to a page that is completely dedicated to that particular convention.  There you will find over 70 pieces of important information, including dates, times, contact info, historical attendance data, etc.

Q.  When I sign up and get my password, can I let anyone in my company use it?
A.  Your exclusive password is strictly for use within your company by one person at a time. Different employees may use the password, even in different states, but one will need to sign off before the other can sign on.

Q.  I have several people that need to have access at the same time.  Will they each need to pay the annual membership fee? 
A.  No.  If you need additional passwords for other employees within your company, they can be purchased from HSVA for just $10 per year per password.  Please remember, however, that these additional passwords may ONLY be used by your company's employees.

Q.  Sometimes I have problems with other vendors or with convention staff.  Will HSVA help me to resolve these problems?
A.  No.  HSVA will not be a moderator or liaison between yourself and others in the homeschool field.  It is our belief that those issues should be resolved privately between the two parties whenever possible.  HSVA does not have the goal nor ability to become involved in these matters.  To do so would jeopardize HSVA's main goal of helping you to market your products better and ultimately improve the lives of thousands of homeschoolers.

Q.  I don't really need access to any of the convention information or any of the marketing and travel tips.  I would just like to have my Speaker Information posted on HSVA so that it could be easily found by convention directors.  Do I still have to pay the full $249 annual fee? 
A.  No.  Even if you do not wish to join HSVA or receive access to all of the features of the HSVA website, you may be a part of the HSVA Speakers section for just $69 per year. (plus a one-time page setup fee of $10.)  As a speaker, you will receive the following:

1.  A listing on the main Speakers Info page, which includes Speaker Name, Email Address, Website Address, Mailing Address, and Phone Number.

2.  After clicking on your name, visitors will be taken to a page that is exclusively about you!  It includes your photo, bio, confirmed speaking engagements (unlimited updates), and all of your Presentation Titles and Descriptions. Convention operators have free access to all of the Speaker pages, giving you increased opportunities for speaking engagements.
